Book of the Month Club

 An Enrichment Program!

 

Hello Yantacaw Families,
 
Welcome to the new 2023-2024 school year! This year, the Yantacaw PTO continues to sponsor student enrichment programs such as Book of the Month Club. 
 
Book of the Month Club is a voluntary activity that promotes a love for reading and encourages our children to explore new topics and ideas.
 
Book of the Month Club will run from October-January and it will be open to all students in Kindergarten through Sixth Grade. If your child wishes to participate in this optional activity, they are asked to print the grade-appropriate assignment form that can be found on the Membership app and email the completed form to reading@yantacawpto.org each month. Students who complete all of the activities will receive a $10 voucher that can be used at the Scholastic Book Fair in February!
 
In order to make the book of the month activities more interactive and fun, we are encouraging students to either submit their written form or submit a picture showing your child presenting their book to a favorite stuffed animal, a friend or a family member. A short one minute video can also be a fun option to talk about the book! 
* *If you decide it is ok for your child to submit a picture or a short video, please disclose in your email submission if you give permission for it to be shared at a PTO meeting to congratulate the participants **
